After the COVID-19 lockdown in Ghana, children in our community faced overwhelming challenges. To uplift their spirits, we launched soccer clinics in partnership with Phocus Soccer (Netherlands) and KitAid (UK), impacting 350 girls and 150 boys. What began as a simple initiative soon sparked a movement.

Inspired by their determination, Saturday Girls Soccer was born in 2021, giving girls the opportunity to pursue their passion for soccer and break barriers in their communities. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that our team has been selected to represent Ghana at the Street Child Football World Cup 2026 in Mexico! We are excited to send 10 girls and three team leaders to represent us at the Street Child Football World Cup 2026 in Mexico.

This journey isn’t just about soccer—it’s about empowering marginalized girls to dream big. Many of these girls come from underserved communities, face identity challenges due to a lack of documentation, and have never imagined a life beyond their struggles. Your support will:
