Many school districts in Oklahoma have a substantial amount of school lunch debt that struggling families are unable to pay. Our Facebook groups, Oklahomans for Public Education and the Oklahoma Rural Schools Coalition, discussed this issue and decided we wanted to partner up and do something to help.

After talking with several district administrators, we decided the best and fairest way to handle is to raise the money collectively and then distribute it amongst districts.

There are many more district and school leaders who are working on getting us their totals to post so we will update this as we get them.

Totals we have received so far:

Vanoss Public Schools: $9258.00

Hayes Elementary (Enid PS): $3178.00

Byng Public Schools: (PAID by an anonymous donor ❤️)

Duncan Public Schools: $972.50 (PAID By Local Business ❤️)

Clinton Public Schools: $20,067.00 (PAID By Arby's Foundation ❤️)

Stillwater Public Schools: $37,003.00

Lexington Public Schools: $4650.00

Blackwell Public Schools: $1173.00

West Field Elementary (Edmond PS): $1282.00 (PAID By Arby's Foundation)

Broken Arrow Public Schools: $10,000.00

Tulsa Public Schools: $37,000.00

Union Public Schools: $20,000.00

**Some districts handle this at the school site and some handle at the district level.
