In our 40+ years working with thousands of survivors the answer is NO! Barrier Free Living (BFL) offers comprehensive support services for survivors of domestic violence with disabilities at our fully accessible BFL Freedom House domestic violence shelter, award-winning BFL Secret Garden domestic violence counseling program, and BFL Apartments that offer permanent homes with support services to survivors with disabilities and their families. BFL is based in New York City.

Ways to support our mission:

Support a parent creating a safe new home at our Freedom House domestic violence shelter for survivors with disabilities. ($250):-A full set of pots and pans, cooking utensils, bedding and towels in addition to access to our essential food pantry during those first critical days at Freedom House.

Support a newborn baby and mother living in safety at our Freedom House domestic violence shelter for survivors with disabilities: $(300)-A supply of diapers for mom along necessities for baby including clothing, and formula.

Support our Family Day events at our programs this June!($1000) Community building events with kids activities, a full brunch and family gift bags or day trips for kids as part of our learning center calendar from the zoo to splash splash waterpark.
