What began with sharing a sandwich with a man in Grand Central has grown into a nonprofit that has provided a meal and hope to over 500,000 New Yorkers experiencing the plight of food insecurity. We are incredibly proud of the community that we have built, and we hope to celebrate this journey with you and continue to grow and expand our mission to provide a meal and hope to those in need.

The Crusty Reality

In our city, 1 in 4 New Yorkers are currently experiencing food insecurity. For too many people in our community, even a simple sandwich is out of reach. At One Sandwich at a Time, we believe that tackling hunger starts with the basics. We are on a mission to make sure no one goes a day without a meal. Help us continue our mission to provide nourishment and spread hope, One Sandwich at a Time.

Our Big Bready Vision

We are looking to expand our reach and get more meals into the hands of those who need them most. Our plan includes:

Partnering with new local shelters and food pantries to provide more regular sandwich donations.
Expanding our volunteer network and reach to ensure we can reach neighbors in more corners of our city.
