Rolling Forward: Meals on Onewheels OC Relaunch & Benefit Auction:

Meals on Onewheels Orange County (MOO OC) program of Harm Reduction Circle, is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Orange County, California. MOO OC is a peer-led outreach initiative that focuses on the camaraderie that is present in the Onewheel community. The goal of the initiative is to use that sense of community, but give a purpose, that being to deliver essential services directly to the most at risk individuals across the Orange County region that are experiencing homelessness.

What sets us apart is our innovative use of Onewheel and personal electric vehicle (PEV) riders—community volunteers who navigate hard-to-reach areas with speed and agility, delivering essential services directly to those most in need. Since our founding, MOO OC has distributed thousands of “I Love You Packs” containing nutritious meals, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, hygiene supplies, and other critical harm reduction tools that save lives and restore dignity.

What’s in The Auction:

The Rolling Forward auction features a curated selection of listings to engage with not just the Onewheel community, but to also reach the more mainstream community as well. The auction offers a wide range of items where there is something for everyone—not just the Onewheel community. Highlights include gift cards for concerts and escape rooms, annual memberships to local museums, and tickets to ballet and orchestra performances. You’ll also find unique apparel, innovative technology, and specialty items like cannabis-infused beverages.

For Onewheel enthusiasts, we’re excited to feature premium aftermarket gear alongside tickets to Onewheel-centered events like Oak City Shred Fest and FloatLife Fest in North Carolina.

This diverse collection of curated products and memorable experiences comes together to support the crucial harm reduction efforts of Meals on Onewheels Orange County.

The Urgent Need in Orange County:

Orange County faces a growing crisis of homelessness and opioid-related overdoses, with many individuals lacking consistent access to lifesaving resources and supportive services. Traditional outreach methods often fall short in reaching those living in encampments tucked away from main roads or transient populations who face multiple barriers. MOO OC bridges this gap by meeting people where they are—offering compassion, connection, and essential supplies through a peer-led, street-level approach that respects autonomy and prioritizes safety.

The unique combination of peer support, live experience, providing essential support services, incorporating harm reduction, and being able to do this in areas that are typically underserved and under reached due to being inaccessible by foot, or by car, this unique combination, leverages are organization and such a unique way we were able to provide services to individuals that typically would not have access to them otherwise. Our program combats and confronts and overcomes multiple variations of barriers that prevent the house population from accessing support services.

How Will the Proceeds Be Used:

This fundraiser supports the revival and growth of MOO OC’s mobile outreach, enabling us to:

Purchase supplies that we’ll include into each “I Love You Pack” and then distributor in hotspots and encampments across the county
Equip our dedicated volunteer riders with trauma-informed training, safety gear, and outreach supplies
Extend our reach to harder-to-access areas through mapped ride routes on PEVs
Scale up our inventory of naloxone, fentanyl test strips, hygiene kits, and first aid essentials to meet rising community needs.

We are still looking to establish new relationships & partnerships with small business, local artists, grassroots organizations or service providers, or with anyone that is like-minded or shares a hope to reduce the harm associated with drug use, the opioid epidemic, and ultimately lives. We are currently seeking diverse auction donations to support our cause, including but not limited to:

Help Sponsor In-Person Outreach Events:

We are ALWAYS seeking donations of the items that we distribute to the unhoused population during our in-person outreach events. Whether you’re a small business, artist, local maker, mutual aid group, grassroots organizer, service provider, or simply someone who cares—we want YOU! Each “I Love You Pack” is carefully curated to provide not only sustenance but also a message of care and support, and contains a combination of the following:

Hygiene, Harm Reduction & Supplies:

Harm Reduction Supplies: Life-saving tools including Naloxone Nasal Spray and other harm reduction materials to address immediate safety needs.
Hygiene Essentials: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, hand sanitizer, and other personal care items that support basic hygiene.
Clothing and Bedding: Clean clothing, socks, blankets, and bedding items to provide comfort and protection against the elements.
Educational Resources: Informational materials about local resources, healthcare options, and support services to empower and inform recipients.
Additional Packaging Supplies: We also welcome donations of paper bags, plastic food containers, and single-use cutlery to help us safely and effectively distribute meals and supplies

Nourishing Meals:

Freshly Prepared Catering-Style Meals: Freshly cooked meals delivered directly to the distribution site, including a mix of main courses, side dishes, and desserts to provide balanced nourishment.
Pre-Packaged Food: Convenient ready-to-go items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, and similar options that are easy for volunteers and recipients.
Easily Prepared Meals: Donations that can be quickly assembled or prepared onsite, like pasta salads, fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, and more.
Non-Perishables: Long-lasting snacks such as granola bars, trail mix, and other versatile options to complement the meal packs.
Microwave-Friendly Meals: Pre-packaged soups, pasta dishes, and other microwave-safe foods to ensure warm meals for recipients when possible.

We maintain strict guidelines for what goes into each “I Love You Pack”. Our goal is to provide nutritious, well-rounded, and respectful care—not simply handing out basic food items like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a water bottle. Every pack is designed to convey dignity, respect, and thoughtfulness to those we serve. Each pack includes at minimum:

(1) main dish
(2) side dishes
(1) beverage (if water, we add a flavor or electrolyte pack)
(1) snack or dessert item
(2+) or more hygiene and harm reduction supplies
Printed materials with vital local resources
At least one small personal item meant to bring joy, such as a gift card, toy, candy, book, or knickknack

Auction Participation & Payment Process:

To participate in our auction, all bidders must first register an account by providing their name, email, phone number, and shipping address. Upon registration, a two-factor authentication code will be sent to your email for verification.

Once verified, bidders will be prompted to complete their bidder profile by entering a valid payment method (credit/debit card or PayPal). Please note:

No charges or holds will be made on your payment method at registration.
Payment methods are only charged when you win an item or complete a purchase.
Winning bids will automatically be processed after the auction closes.
A platform processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction will be applied.
