We are fundraising to go to the Veracruz Marathon in Mexico

We support young athletes from Oaxaca's small communities. The selected for this national participation are:

Felipe Arellanes of Cuixtla, Miahuatlán. Pacer: Luis Fabian of San Pablo Yaganiza
Roque Luis of San Pablo Güilá. Pacer: Juan Victoria of Magdalena Apasco, Etla

You can donate to a specific athlete or to the general fund of our participation. Get to know the athletes on our social media @ OaxSport

Felipe will run the full marathon distance, Roque and Francisco will take part in the half-marathon. It's the first time for them to participate in a national road race and we hope to cover all their expenses.

Each athlete requires $350 USD to pay for entry fee, interstate transportation and accommodation for the athlete and his pacer. We try to raise more money to cover more expenses and make their trip comfortable and enjoyable.

Funds will pay race fees, bus, local transportation, accommodation, food, supplements, clothes and gear needed for the race. The team comprises of 3 athletes and 5 staff. Oax Sport will spend all the money raised to support the athlete in this competition. If anything is left, they will spend it on another competition. Donations are sent directly to the charity, and they manage the spending. No athlete will receive cash payments.

We are fundraising to cover the expenses of the mentioned athletes and their pacers (2 athletes, 2 pacers). Other athletes and staff who are made up of volunteers and officers will not have their expenses covered by Oax Sport inc.

About the Sports Non-Profit Organization: Oax Sport Inc is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity based in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to support athletes from small communities of Oaxaca, Mexico. We saw the need to support athletes of small communities, as corporations and academic institutions rarely participate in much of Mexico’s rural towns. We believe in the Oaxacan athletes.
