Join us for our October Harvest to Table event at the 4Roots Farm: a hands-on culinary and educational experience led by Dr. Amber Orman, MD, DipABLM, a double board-certified radiation oncologist, lifestyle medicine specialist who specializes in breast cancer treatment, and serves as the AdventHealth Chief Wellness Officer for Florida. Dr. Orman is joined by Chef Nikk Burton, lead chef at The Monroe Restaurant in Creative Village, Downtown Orlando.

This intimate gathering will welcome participants for a meaningful evening exploring the nutritional, agricultural, and culinary impact of plant-forward cooking, with a spotlight on cancer awareness and prevention. Guests will enjoy seasonal produce from the 4Roots farm and local farm communities, followed by a guided plant-based cooking session, and conversation around the power of food as medicine.

The Experience

The evening begins with a guided farm tour, providing a deeper understanding of seasonal produce and its culinary and health applications, with a spotlight on cancer awareness and prevention.

After the tour, enjoy a live cooking demonstration and plating inspiration of the entrée by Chef Nikk Burton while engaging in nutrition and health insights from Dr. Amber Orman. Guests will prepare their entrée, seasonal salad, and indulge in a chef-prepared flavorful dessert creation.
