Introducing OktoberVines, an evening of beer and wine tastings, dinner, live music, a wine pull, raffles, and more--all dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable people in our community.

Your Support Changes Lives

In 2017, the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown founded Ursuline Sisters Mission, formerly Ursuline Ministries, to oversee and strengthen their vibrant and life-giving ministries and continue to provide leadership and support in the region long into the future. In the spirit of St. Angela, we create places of welcome and inclusion. With radical compassion and respect for all God’s people, we offer housing, food, healthcare, education, wellness, spirituality, advocacy, prayer and presence.

Ursuline Sisters Mission includes ministries founded and still operated by the Ursuline Sisters, such as Beatitude House, Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry, the USM Scholars Program, and the USM Children’s Program.

Beatitude House, a ministry of Ursuline Sisters Mission, has provided supportive housing opportunities to those experiencing homelessness for nearly 35 years.

Permanent Supportive Housing is available in Mahoning County for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Permanent Supportive Housing program provides ongoing, site-based and scattered site housing opportunities.
An emergency shelter containing 3 bedrooms and an efficiency unit meets the needs of individuals and families in an immediate housing crisis.
Our transitional housing program, A House of Blessing Ashtabula, offers 10 units of transitional housing at any given time. A House of Blessing Ashtabula provides each household with a fully furnished apartment along with supportive services, all on site in the former, renovated St. Joseph School on Lake Avenue. Those we serve typically reside in our program for six months to a year.

The USM Children’s Program offers tutoring, homework help, enrichment activities, case management services, and overall support to the children and their families in all our ministries and programs. Our Children’s Program staff works diligently to meet the children’s needs, communicate with and work directly with schools, teachers, and guidance counselors, and connect families to health care services and other community resources.

The USM Scholars Program empowers adult learners to complete their program of study by providing:

Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry empowers and affirms adults and children affected by HIV/AIDS in collaboration with community resources.

A pediatric and adult HIV clinic, offering HIV testing, treatment, counseling, case management, and wrap-around services
Angela’s Place - The Ursuline Sisters Café, a monthly dinner, food and household pantry, and social support
