In Loving Memory of Ophelia Martinez Gomez

Ophelia was known for her warmth, vibrant spirit, and strong dedication to family and community. She believed deeply in the power of education, uplifting others, and creating meaningful change. Ophelia’s heart for community was unwavering. She was the President of the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce, served on the Board of the Girl Scouts of America, and was a founding board member of the Hispanic Museum of Nevada. Ophelia inspired many with her lifelong commitment to education, culture, and community.

To celebrate the life and legacy of a remarkable woman whose strength, generosity, and love for family and community touched everyone she knew, we have created the Ophelia Martinez Gomez Scholarship at the Nevada Women’s Fund. This scholarship will continue Ophelia’s mission by supporting women as they seek educational and professional opportunities. Contributions to this fund will uphold her enduring values of compassion, resilience, and empowerment, ensuring that her belief in lifting others will continue to make a lasting impact.
