Today, I would like to share a story with you, one that has shaped my perspective on giving back to the community and helping those in need.
Growing up, I was fortunate to witness the incredible generosity and compassion of my mother. She was a nurse who dedicated her life to helping others and this included making monetary donations, when she was able, to various organizations like the United Way. Her selflessness and commitment left a lasting impression on me.
As an adult, when I was asked by my former employer to contribute to the United Way of Delaware, I didn't hesitate. Working in the various communities throughout New Castle County, I had the privilege of witnessing the transformative effects of United Way's initiatives on the lives of our neighbors. I had confidence that my contributions were spent wisely and directed towards those areas that had the greatest need.
Today, I am proud to be part of the United Way of Delaware team, and I am reaching out to you for your support. We are seeking financial donations to continue supporting the very programs that have touched the lives of countless individuals over the years.
