The Pilipino Association for Health Careers started through a group of students who recognized the need for a support system among Cal pre-health students. PAHC aims to promote current health issues in and around the Pilipino community, as well as extended communities. We develop a structure of dedicated students to integrate their knowledge, experience, and skills to seek information on various health issues and careers. PAHC provides information and services to aid the Pilipino community especially and, in addition, to all who are health conscious both academically and individually.

We have come a long way since starting in 1986, providing Pilipino UC Berkeley students the space and resources to thrive as future health care providers. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, PAHC transitioned to remote programming and held our community together across larger distances/timezones. As a result, our primary means of revenue (sporting-event concessions) and monetary source of programming came to an abrupt halt by Spring 2020. This fundraiser is a means of sustaining the legacy of our community, returning many of our anticipated annual events, and ensuring that many of our students succeed in their future careers.
