PCRA's Dock Project

PCRA is fortunate to row on the Glen Island Park lagoon, a protected body of tidal water that we share with other Olympic hopefuls and outdoor enthusiasts. While we rely on the Park for much of our infrastructure, the dock is PCRA's responsibility. Over the past two decades, hurricane damage and other natural forces have reduced the usable water around our dock, making low-tide conditions increasingly untenable due to the build up of silt around the dock. This critical dock rebuilding project will ensure our access to the lagoon for decades to come.

PCRA is facing over $150,000 in costs for the upcoming project to (i) replace and expand the dock and (ii) install a new ramp. The new ramp will move out and reposition the dock to alleviate the silt problem. The other alternative, dredging, would be much more expensive and time consuming.We are in the final stages of fundraising for this project which will break ground on November 3rd, 2025.

In addition to our ongoing dock project, PCRA remains committed to offering need based scholarships to members of our community. These scholarships would not be possible without fundraising.
