A Parkinson's diagnosis changes your life, but it doesn't have to take away your hope.

PD Care Connection was founded in 2018 by Dave Koch, a physical therapist who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2017.

After experiencing firsthand the challenges of Parkinson's, Dave recognized the need for something different: an organization that focuses not only on the challenges of the disease but also on the opportunities people have to remain active, improve their abilities, and maintain their quality of life.

Our mission is simple:

Measuring Progress. Encouraging Possibilities.

One of our most important initiatives is the PD Care Connection Skills Assessments Program.

Through objective testing of strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional abilities, individuals with Parkinson's can establish a baseline and measure their progress over time.

These results can also be shared with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to help inform discussions about care.

Our goal is to help people recognize what they can accomplish, rather than focusing only on what they may have lost.

Education, Encouragement, and Community

PD Care Connection also provides educational programs featuring Parkinson's specialists, opportunities to explore exercise and active living, and support groups that bring people together in an atmosphere of hope and encouragement.

Our annual PD Care Connection Experience connects individuals and families with healthcare professionals, educational resources, and others who understand the Parkinson's journey.
