PLUNGE FOR PAWS! It’s almost time for the New Year’s Day Plunge at Long Pond in Plymouth! On January 1, 2026 the hardy summer swimmers will plunge the wintery waters of Long Pond to benefit PLYMOUTH HELPING HANDS FOR ANIMALS. Friends and family are welcome to join the plunge!

Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals is a registered 501c3, all volunteer, charitable organization. Helping Hands assists pet owners who need financial or material assistance for veterinary medical care (wellness exams, vaccines, spaying and neutering, urgent care and critical care, euthanasia), pet food and supplies, and other essential pet-related needs. We serve the Town of Plymouth and its adjacent, surrounding towns. Helping Hands fills a unique role and a much-needed service in our local pet community. One of our main goals is to help alleviate the financial burden of the rising cost of veterinary expenses for those in need, so that pet owners can keep their animals healthy and safe at home. We support pet owners who may be struggling by providing pet food and supplies by operating our three very busy Pet Food Pantries in Plymouth: every week at American Legion Post 40 Food Bank; twice a month at the Plymouth Center for Active Living/Council on Aging; and monthly at the Plymouth Family Resource Center. Our organization is out there, 365 days a year, fulfilling our mission, and will always strive to help as many pets as possible.
