Be Mindful, It Matters is a traveling mental health exhibit born out of conversations with our region mental health, nonprofit, and educational partners after the COVID pandemic. While each partner offers programs and services to support their clients or students' mental health, none of them had the capacity to do mental health education in the communities.

So, our team worked with University of Northern Colorado psychology students and our partners to design an "in your face" exhibit incorporating various diagnoses, stories from those with lived experience (video interviews filmed/edited by Aims Community College video production students) and national/state/local resources. The Weld Trust graciously funded the design/build with a grant and we launched the exhibit at Aims Community College in September of 2023. Throughout 2024, the exhibit traveled throughout our northeastern Colorado region and was slated to end; however, the Colorado Community College System learned about it and asked us to take it to every community college campus in the state through 2025. The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra also invited us to bring it to their mental health-themed concert at the end of their 2024/25 season.

While interest in the exhibit continues to grow, we will need more funding to keep the exhibit traveling to educate more Coloradoans. Help us reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and help people find mental health resources for themselves or their loved ones by providing this resource to libraries, hospitals, community events, colleges and universities.
