Hi everyone, I think most of you know that my friend Erin Heath's world turned upside down last February when her oldest son DJ at 32 was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma that spread to his brain, lungs and liver. He has had surgery to have tumors removed from his brain and he underwent months of immunotherapy with horrible side effects and no improvement. He started chemotherapy in September & the doctors were just about to send him home to die when the last scans showed no more growth & showed that he was stable. Because of this they have him starting Wednesday receiving TIL therapy at Dana Faber. Anyway, most of you know that Ray Keefe has a polar plunge fundraiser every year to benefit a local family well I nominated the Heaths and they were chosen along with another family in a similar situation. The reason I am reaching out is that there's a lot that goes on with this behind the scenes, the heaths, myself, and Ray sat down together last night and he explained the process. He asked us to reach out to family & friends & he said although the personal donations are great we need to go after businesses & corporations. The polar plunge committee will do all the grunt work all we have to do is get names and they will go & ask for the donations!
