A New Promise — Paws & Promise Project

After more than 15 years in animal welfare, I've learned that saving animals doesn't always begin when they enter a shelter. Sometimes it means helping a family afford veterinary care so they don't have to surrender the pet they love. Sometimes it means providing affordable spay-and-neuter services, helping someone through a temporary crisis, or simply giving an overlooked animal more time to find the right family. And sometimes, saving a life means giving an overlooked animal just a little more time to find someone who will love them.

Over the years, I've witnessed countless examples of what compassion, patience, and a second chance can accomplish. And whether you supported an animal's medical care, helped provide food and shelter, made a donation, or simply believed in the mission, you helped make those second chances possible. Those experiences have stayed with me and helped shape what I hope to accomplish next.

In January 2026, I established Paws & Promise Project, a separate, independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the bond between people and their pets, expanding access to lifesaving resources, and helping animals who have been forgotten, overlooked, or simply need more time.

At the heart of everything we are building is one promise: When there is no one else, we are the promise. More Time. More Hope. More Love. More Lives Saved.

About Paws & Promise Project:

Paws & Promise Project was founded on a simple belief: every animal deserves another chance, and every family deserves support before surrender becomes the only option.

Every day, animals face abandonment, illness, neglect, displacement, or circumstances beyond their control. Families who love their pets often struggle with financial hardship, housing instability, medical emergencies, or life challenges that place their beloved companions at risk.

When options are running out, we choose to create one more.

Paws & Promise Project exists to provide hope where hope is fading, compassion where it is needed most, and solutions that strengthen the bond between pets and the people who love them. We are more than an animal welfare organization. We are a promise.

Our Commitment

When an animal has nowhere else to go...

When a family believes they have run out of options...

When others have reached the end of the road...

Paws & Promise Project will work tirelessly to find another path.

We may not be able to save every life. But every life entrusted to us deserves every reasonable opportunity, every available resource, and every act of compassion we can provide.

That is our promise.
