Since 2018, I've been riding my bike (first my regular bike with baskets, later a trailer with a custom box, then the book bike that I am currently using) to parks and events to give books to anyone who wants one. Most of the books are donated, and I've given away over 2200 at this time. In December 2021, the paperwork came through, granting us 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. We're looking for donations to help cover storage fees (the books were taking over my house) and liability insurance. We'd also like to start purchasing some books from local bookstores, to fill in the gaps.
