WATCH: Bisbee Comes Home

Bisbee is a gentle, playful 3-year old pup with a dog-mom who loves him. She adopted Bisbee from a local rescue, and he has become the most loving companion she could ask for.

But then Bisbee's mom had an injury. She was temporarily unable to walk more than a few feet. She knew that Bisbee needed more care than she could offer, but she didn't want to surrender him. What choice did she have?

Pawster Nashville's Crisis Foster Program offered her a solution. Bisbee went to a loving foster home in November, where he was loved and cared for until it was time to reunite with his owner!

What do we do?

Pawster Nashville provides crisis foster care for pets: When a pet owner is in crisis, we place their dog or cat in a safe, loving foster home until the owner is back on their feet and ready to be reunited. This keeps another cat or dog from ending up in the shelter or on the streets, and it keeps a family together through crisis.

What is a crisis?

A crisis is anything that causes a pet owner to be temporarily unable to care for their pet. Eviction, hospitalization, domestic violence, addiction treatment, short-term incarceration, military deployment. No matter the crisis, we are committed to helping pets stay with their people. No one should have to lose a beloved pet just because they are going through a hard time.
