We grew up in the same neighborhood as Laurie and her family, spending lots of time in between our house and theirs. Laurie was always there to support everyone in the neighborhood. She organized holiday parties and events to build community and was always the first to offer or organize support when it was needed.

Now Laurie and her family need support, and we have an opportunity to repay her years of kindness and generosity. We are raising $10,000 to relieve financial worry and support with bills and pain relief measures.

Laurie was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and is unable to work. This financial support will help her to focus on health and rest while she receives treatments from a collaboration between RRMC, Dartmouth, and Dana Farber.

For the last six months, Laurie has had to reduce and now completely pause her work as a painter. Paige, Laurie's daughter, is becoming a nurse and has been unable to work full time because she's caretaking and studying for the nursing exam. This has had an immense financial impact on Laurie and her family. They've applied for financial assistance but won't be offered support until October.
