The United Nations estimates that 1 in 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa miss school during their menstrual cycle. This can amount to 20% of the school year, significantly impacting their education. This "period poverty" forces them to fall behind in their studies, and often drop out altogether, limiting their future opportunities.

THE COLLABORATORS

The Africa Agility Foundation is not just equipping AFRICAN women with tech skills, in Collaboration with Soul Purpose, are tackling this challenge head-on. We're providing reusable pads – a sustainable, cost-effective solution – to 5,000 girls in 7 African countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Sudan...). But we're not stopping there. We're also empowering them with tech and personal agility skills led by our African Girls in Tech alumni IWD advocates. These workshops will build their confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, helping them overcome challenges and thrive.

We'll also be sparking their interest in technology and equipping 1,000 girls with the entrepreneurship skills. This will create income-generating opportunities, fostering economic empowerment and sustainable development within their communities.
