The History Project has the archives — and the historians — to make sure of that.

Your donation powers our new Public Historian Committee: a team a team of staff and volunteers using our archives for storytelling, exhibits, and public programs to make Boston’s queer and trans past visible, accessible, and impossible to ignore.

At a time when LGBTQ+ history is being stripped from classrooms, libraries, archives, and public life, every dollar helps us bring these stories out of the archives and into the streets.

To lead this effort, we’ve launched the Public Historian Committee. This means more:

For nearly 50 years, The History Project has documented, preserved, and shared the history of Boston’s LGBTQ+ community. This spring, we focused on reconnecting with the community across generations and across the city.
