Every Purse Has a Purpose... Every Woman Has a Dream!

Purses with a Purpose is dedicated to donating purses and backpacks filled with basic necessities and essential items to struggling women and children throughout the Treasure Valley. Our mission is to restore dignity and hope to women and teens in need across our community.

Through the collection and distribution of handbags filled with essential items, we provide comfort, encouragement, and a tangible reminder that every woman matters. Whether you’re donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your involvement helps us uplift women facing hardship and remind them they’re not alone. Our purses and backpacks are distributed to those served by Idaho shelters, schools, crisis/recovery centers, and nonprofit partner organizations. Our recipients include those experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, women escaping sex trafficking, refugees, and those recently transitioning out of incarceration.
