The Women’s Council of REALTORS® Omaha Network is proud to name The Set Me Free Project as our 2026 Charity Partner. Human trafficking impacts communities everywhere, including here in Nebraska. What sets The Set Me Free Project® apart is their focus on prevention through education. Their mission is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing informative, interactive, and age-appropriate education to students (K–12), parents, educators, and community leaders. Through their curriculum, learners gain a clear understanding of what human trafficking is, why individuals may be at risk, and how to recognize warning signs, while also reinforcing the inherent value of every human being. Education creates awareness, and awareness creates protection. The organization is led by founder and CEO Stephanie Olson, a nationally respected speaker, author, and advocate. With a background in psychology and strategic communication, and years of experience working with survivors of violence and trauma, Stephanie brings both expertise and lived experience to this work. A WCR Board member who nominated this organization shared that Stephanie is an exceptional speaker, and the Board unanimously supported partnering with an organization whose mission centers on education and prevention. Our $3,000 fundraising goal will directly support prevention education programs that help protect youth, strengthen families, and empower communities. Together, we can support education that stops trafficking before it begins.
