Twenty-five years ago, Our Lord and Savior called the Byzantine Catholic Community in Northern Illinois to put out into the deep to face new and uncharted waters. In obedience to this call and to the movement of the Holy Spirit, we formed Annunciation Byzantine Catholic parish, placing it under the patronage of our most Holy Lady, Theotokos, to announce the Good News to the world as a new millennium began.

Like the Apostles who caught many fish, and then many people in the name of Our Lord, so too during these 25 years has this parish been richly blessed and caught many people into the net of the Life of your Divine Son.

Join us on Sunday, May 18th as we celebrate twenty-five years of "putting out into the deep" starting with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 10:00AM celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop Robert Pipta, Eparchy of Parma. Following this Eucharistic Celebration, a formal Reception & Banquet will be held at Orland Chateau - 14500 LaGrange Rd, Orland Park, IL - beginning at Noon. The banquet will be a family style dinner with an open bar. Live dinner music will be provided by the Peter Oprisko Quartet.

We hope you can join us for this celebration as we reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and cast our nets further into the deep for the years ahead.

Most sweet Lady, let down your mantel upon this parish and intercede for us that we may faithfully and fruitfully continue to follow the call of Your Son for this parish, and that with every one of our gifts magnified, we may continue to announce the Good News to this region of America and beyond.
