Did you know that 70% of trafficking survivors still live in poverty two years after exit? Or that financial insecurity is the number one reason survivors of domestic violence stay in or return to abusive relationships?

After escape, survivors are often provided with temporary housing and a recovery program. But what happens once they've finished their programs and are ready to begin living independently? Many struggle to find steady work with a livable wage because of employment gaps, lack of formal education, or a criminal record. These barriers are direct consequences of their trafficking and abuse.

ABOUT QUEENS ARISE

Queens Arise is the survivor program of Queens of Digital Marketing, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We give survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence the education, mentorship, and career tools they need to build lasting, independent lives.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Step 1: Application and Program Intake
Step 2: Professional Foundations
Step 3: Education and Career Pathways
Step 4: Career Readiness and Employment

Since we began as a nonprofit in 2022, we have trained and mentored 30 survivors through our scholarship program. Graduates have gone on to full-time roles in high-demand professions, some with our hiring partners and others in careers they launched on their own.
