Who Is That Adorable Puppy?

This adorable babe in the ICU chair is Wynter.

Back in 2021, she was surrendered to a rescue due to a distal humeral fracture which lead to further complications that the owners could not afford. After a failed surgery, the best option for her was amputation. One of our cardiology nurses, Amanda, thankfully adopted her and gave her a forever home.

This is a great example of how expensive, emergency veterinary costs can greatly affect an animals life. Wynter was in the hands of excellent medical staff and was very fortunate that Amanda was able to take responsibility for her. Not all animals are this fortunate and care gets compromised when funds become an issue.

It is nothing new that rescues are over crowded and struggle with finances.

The funds our foundation raises go directly to families with animals facing emergency, upon presentation. Having a team composed of veterinary professionals allows us the advantage of being of immediate resource, minimizing the chances of care being compromised and unnecessary euthanasia. Our animals deserve the high quality care that is available!
