At SubjectToClimate, we empower the next generation to take meaningful climate action by providing educators with free, high-quality educational resources that incorporate climate topics into all grade levels and subjects. Our mission is to empower all educators to easily and effectively teach about climate change, justice, and action. We've already reached nearly 500,000 educators, but we know that this is just scratching the surface of the over 3 million educators in the U.S. In 2025, we aim to reach 400,000 more teachers, with the goal of educating 6,000,000 more students on climate change. We aim to do this by: building Hubs in Michigan and Illinois; training a cohort of New York educators to create at least 45 climate-focused lesson plans – expanding our newly launched New York Climate Education Hub and adding more content to our core database; and developing more more vetted resources from content partners to amplify their inspiring work.

As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to join us in our efforts. To help kickstart these goals, SubjectToClimate has a fundraising goal of $15,000. All donations up to this amount will be matched by an anonymous donor, amplifying the impact of every dollar raised. $10 ➜ Enables us to distribute a student news article that discusses current climate issues at a developmentally appropriate level for K-12 students.

$25 ➜ Supports the addition of a professional development module to our database.

$100 ➜ Sponsors the creation and publication of a teacher guide, which utilizes specific lesson plans and resources to show teachers how they can leverage our database to teach climate topics in their classrooms.

$500 ➜ Sponsors a teacher to develop a high-quality, standards-aligned lesson plan for publication onto our database.

$1000 ➜ Allows us to train 50 teachers on foundational climate science, pedagogical techniques for integrating climate topics into classroom discussions, and tactics to write climate-focused lesson plans for their classroom.
