ABOUT

QSAC is a New York City and Long Island-based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.

QSAC was founded in 1978 by a group of parents confronted with limited-service options for their children with autism. Today, QSAC provides direct services to more than 2,700 children and adults throughout the region.

QSAC pursues its mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after-school, and in-home educational and support services. QSAC’s adult programs include Residential Services, both 24 hour supervised group homes and Supportive Apartments, Day Habilitation Services, Vocational Training, Job Placement and in-home services including Community Habilitation and Respite QSAC’s programs provide supportive and trained staff, high-impact services, and a commitment to quality.
