On Feb 4, 2023 we spotted a new tomcat at our feral colony, except he looked unwell. He was missing large patches of hair, had URI symptoms, was dehydrated and druelling. He was skittish and too smart for the trap, we but were finally able to bait him and get him checked out.

While in our care, we have learned that he is estimated to be ~5 years old, diagnosed FIV+ (which he probably got fighting off other male cats in his tough street life), had mange, and needs dental extractions for his fractured canines. On March 13, we secured an appointment for his bloodwork, x-rays, and dental to be evaluated, and moved forward with the surgery.

We need help trying to pay his bill off, and on top of that, trying to raise more funds to continue his specialized care. He is lucky to be placed with a patient and loving foster-family, that reminds him every day he is deserving of a loving home and shelter, and is recovering well from surgery.

With our rescue discount, his dental work was upwards of a $755 bill, without fees for diagnostics like his bloodwork and xrays. Please consider helping us help Patches.
