Jacob Azevedo's Story

Capital Crew is the competitive junior rowing program of the Sacramento State Aquatic Center. Our annual Ergathon will be on November 11th. We will be rowing on “ergs”, stationary rowing machines, that measure time, power and meters rowed for each athlete. Our team is going to attempt to row 1 million meters! We have been training hard since August, and can’t wait to show how far and fast we can go. The Ergathon is our major fundraiser for the year. Each rower has a fundraising goal of $400. With your help, our goal is to raise $40,000 for our team. Your entire donation goes directly to the team to buy new boats, oars, food for the athletes at regattas, and fees, costs and travel to away regattas. In 23-24 we will continue outreach to those who want to row and may not have the means to do so. Because our team of athletes is incredibly committed and hardworking, with practices six days a week throughout the entire nine-month school year, your donations are invaluable! With your help, we will continue to forge athletes of character! We are tremendously grateful for your generous support!! Thank you!! Donations are tax-deductible.
