In Kenosha County, only 36% of third-grade students are reading at a proficient level. At a time when literacy is more critical than ever, it’s essential that we provide students with access to high-quality books and ignite a lifelong passion for reading—key to their future success.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that on Thursday, March 6, volunteers will read with students in nearly 200 classrooms across our community. The excitement is growing as Read Across Kenosha expands its reach this year—not only are we reading in more classrooms, but we're also donating MORE books! Each participating teacher will receive two free books to add to their classroom library, ensuring that students continue to enjoy these stories long after the event.
