Giving Tuesday is the global day to practice radical generosity and lift up the communities we care about. It is a powerful day for nonprofits like Red Feather who rely on your kindness to provide the highest level of care for rescued horses. This year our goal is to cover our winter feed and hay expenses for the entire month of December.

Our total winter feed need comes to $210 a day, or $6,510 for December. Winter is always our most expensive season. Pasture is limited, calories matter, and reliable nutrition is one of the most important promises we make. When you give to the Full Belly Challenge, you help us keep that promise.

And meeting this goal does something even bigger. It allows us to close the year strong, start 2026 with fresh books, and stay ready to say YES to horses who need sanctuary in the months ahead. When you help cover December’s feed, you give us space to respond when emergencies arise, when a horse has nowhere else to go, or when a county shelter calls with an urgent situation.
