Rural Schools Collaborative started as a tiny spark in late 2014 with a group of passionate rural advocates, and has since grown to serve rural communities in over 30 states. With nearly a decade behind us, we invite your support to chart a sustainable course for the future by making a forever-gift:

We are pleased to announce the Rural Education Founders Fund, which will be a permanent endowment supporting RSC and our efforts to strengthen our schools in rural America. RSC Board of Directors and Staff agreed to provide a match of up to $25,000 for every dollar contributed to the fund.

When RSC's founding Director, Gary Funk, handed off the torch to the next phase of leadership in 2021, he and his wife Jana left a $50,000 gift to start the organization’s first-ever endowment. They believed that RSC would be here for the long term, and their gift signaled a personal commitment to the future of our work. As Rural Schools Collaborative celebrates our upcoming 10 year anniversary, our Board of Directors set a goal to match the Funk’s initial gift for a total of $100,000 in endowment by 2025.
