Hosted by Level Forward, All* Above All and One Fair Wage, the 23-minute film screening will be followed by a short discussion with filmmaker Nazrin Choudhury; Nourbese Flint, President, All* Above All; Megan Jeyifo, Executive Director, Chicago Abortion Access Fund; and Saru Jayaraman, President, One Fair Wage.

ABOUT THE FILM
Rachel (Brittany Snow) is a single parent living paycheck to paycheck. When an unexpected pregnancy threatens to unravel her already precarious position, she is forced to cross state lines in search of an abortion.

Proceeds from the August 22nd event in Chicago support the film’s impact campaign benefiting:

One Fair Wage is a national organization of 300,000 restaurant workers and over 1,000 restaurant owners organizing to raise wages and improve working conditions in the restaurant and service sector, and all subminimum wages in the United States. In 2024, when 'the cost of living' and 'jobs with living wages' have been repeatedly named the top electoral issue for both young voters and voters of color, OFW has minimum wage initiatives on the ballot in states that are critical to the Presidential and Senate races that will raise wages for 3.5 million workers and mobilize these millions of unlikely, low-wage workers to turn out to 'vote themselves a raise' and vote for people who support that raise this November.

All* Above All is a catalyst for abortion justice. We envision a world where abortion care is affordable, available, and supported for everyone who needs it.

★ ☆ ★ RED, WHITE AND BLUE will be headed to San Francisco, Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Denver, and Washington, D.C throughout summer ‘24 and into fall. We will be adding screenings benefitting new partners around the country and dates will be announced shortly. In the meantime, get to know all of the film's organizational partners below.

Supermajority Ed Fund is a community for young women who want to become advocates and leaders in their communities, their workplaces, and their government. It is our belief that if young women were represented in leadership roles, particularly women from historically excluded communities, all Americans would thrive.

Founded in 2001, the New York Abortion Access Fund supports New Yorkers, and people traveling to New York State, access abortion care through financial assistance, case management, and connections to other resources.

IGNITE is a national movement of young women who are ready and eager to become the next generation of civic and political leaders. Since its inception in 2010, IGNITE has trained over 40,000 participants across 43 states to become candidates, campaign staffers, commissioners, community organizers, and policy makers.

The National Network of Abortion Funds is a network of 100 independent abortion funds. These member funds work to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. NNAF supports member abortion funds by providing grants, leadership development, infrastructure support, and technical assistance. Together with abortion funds, we’re building power and making cultural and political change.

Pregnancy Justice protects and advances pregnant people’s bodily autonomy and rights by defending those who have been criminalized, advocating for proactive policy and legal change, and shifting the public narrative. We focus on those most vulnerable to investigation, arrest, detention, or family separation related to pregnancy. This includes women and people who are poor, of color, with disabilities, do not conform to gender binary stereotypes, and/or use drugs.

She the People elevates the voice and power of women of color to lead the nation to racial, gender and economic justice.

Vote Mama Foundation is the leading source of research and analysis on the political participation of moms. We work towards gender equity by naming and dismantling the barriers moms face running for and serving in office, normalizing moms of young children in office, and enabling legislators to pass truly family-friendly policies.

The Purple Parlor Fund is deploying financial capital in support of RED, WHITE AND BLUE’s impact initiative, bringing the film, its dialogue, questions, and impactful story to audiences who have been traditionally closed to the conversation. This particular opportunity will be especially potent in states and locations that are not unequivocally partisan, often referred to as ‘purple,’ where RED, WHITE AND BLUE presents a possibility for common ground and civil reconciliation. Target audiences will be comprised of people from different faiths, economic realities, party affiliations, and levels of political awareness, engaging in discussions that explore how legislation introduced or enacted after Dobbs is impacting the lives, health, and safety of friends, neighbors, and loved ones, including in ways that some may find surprising. The Purple Parlor Fund’s primary goal is to spark many personal and private conversations—beyond the in-theater or talkback experience—which can subsequently take place within families or subsets of communities. Collectively, these many interruptions, in aggregate, can make a meaningful difference this fall and beyond as we head into another pivotal election where issues of economic justice, reproductive rights, and the right to one’s bodily autonomy will disproportionately impact the lives of so many.
