What does empowerment mean to me?

It means never stop learning! Knowledge is power, and you are never too old to learn new things. Nelson Mandela had once said “education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world”. I do believe this to be true, but only if used to strengthen yourself and encourage others to do the same. It starts by challenging yourself to work hard, continue learning, read as often as you can, be there for others and always be willing to take chances if the opportunity knocks.

I’ve have been blessed to have had such strong women in my life. Those who have lifted me when I’ve been down, and those who have encouraged me to be the strong woman I am today. Behind every successful woman, is a tribe of other successful woman. As an owner of The Viscariello Hospitality Group, I can attest to that and to what strong woman can achieve. Not only is our CFO a woman, but my corporate office, general managers, and managers, are mostly woman. All of whom are some of the smartest, strongest, hardworking, and uplifting group of ladies I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I am so grateful to have them all as part of my team.
