Everyday the amazing people who love and care for our children are at ongoing risk as ICE threatens our communities. We focus our support on the emergent needs of Minneapolis in-home daycares or other caregiving spaces that are being targeted. Our fundraisers support transportation, groceries, rent support, and other needs for our beloved caregivers.

Minneapolis Families for Daycare Workers spotlight different care centers on an ongoing basis. We prioritize small, less visible daycares, using targeted campaigns built around specific goals. All funds go directly to caregivers.

Campaign Updates

2/6/26: Rent Support, Mental Health, and Living Expenses for Daycare Workers in South and Central Minneapolis. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over ten thousand dollars for February rent to support daycare workers! We have decided to pause our rent support drive for three South Minneapolis Daycares and are now raising funds for two different daycares with emergent need. First, we are collecting rent support for workers at a South Minneapolis daycare who have become the sole source of income for their families. We are also collecting for Mental Health and Living Expenses for workers at a Central Minneapolis daycare center. Join us in caring for the workers who care for our families!

1/26/26: Rent Support for workers at Three South Minneapolis Daycares. Thank you everyone for your contributions! We have once again met our campaign goal in just ONE day. Your support is incredible. We are rolling out a rent support drive that will help workers' families from three different daycares in South Minneapolis. Please join us in supporting them!

1/25/26: Early Launch: Rent Support and Transportation for a South Minneapolis Daycare. Thank you to all of the contributors! We exceeded our goal in ONE day for our second campaign: Rent, Transportation, and Groceries for Workers at two South Minneapolis Daycares! Your support is incredible and allows us to launch our third campaign ahead of schedule! We will be collecting contributions to support workers at another South Minneapolis Daycare who need help with transportation costs and rent support as more and more workers' families are having to shelter in place. Consider joining us in supporting them!

1/24/26: Launching Rent, Transportation, and Groceries for Daycare Workers at two South Minneapolis daycares. We are a community in mourning after another observer has been murdered today and hundreds of our loved ones and neighbors continue to be harassed, harmed, and detained by ICE on a daily basis. We are also a community of incredible strength, love, and care for one another. Today we launch a new campaign for two more South Minneapolis daycares who are looking for rent support, transportation, and groceries. We hope contributions will reach $20,000 before the end of the month. Please join us!

1/23/26: Over the past two days we have exceeded our $5000 goal for our first campaign: Transportation Support for two South Minneapolis Daycares! Thank you to everyone who contributed! You have just helped support at least three more weeks of increased safety of our beloved childcare workers. We are so grateful. Love and care to all as we come together on this day of mutual aid and action for the General Strike!
