The Maya People of Omaha invite you to learn from spiritual leader and globally-renowned healer, Sebastiana Pol Suy, about the ancient philosophies of Mayan medicine and how they can inform community-based solutions to our world's wellness crisis

Described as a "partner" by the Executive Director for the Global Healthworks Foundation, Sebastiana practices a unique blend of traditional Maya medicine - including sacred plants, massage, and prayer - with the advancements of Western medicine, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Techniques, moxa heat therapy treatments, and suction cupping therapy. She has been providing vital knowledge about local plant and herbal medicines, collaborating on patient treatment plans, and helping coordinate clinic and jornada logistics for this international organization since 2012.

Sebastiana first learned the art of healing from her mother, who has received awards from the Guatemalan government for the preservation of Maya medicine. In addition to her work around the world, she also helps run their community-based practice providing education, herbal and plant-based treatments, psychological counseling, spiritual guidance, Mayan ceremonies, and the readings of nahuales or Maya day signs.

While Sebastiana has mastered many healing arts, she humbly describes her craft as simply "helping people." We are truly honored to facilitate sharing her incredible knowledge with the Omaha community!

Join us at Unity Church on July 10th from 6-8 pm for an interview with Sebastiana, who will share her story as a healer, the essential tenets of Maya medicine, and her perspective on the future of holistic global wellness.
