ReNforce has a comprehensive curriculum to empower justice-impacted individuals in Georgia to connect with employers, represent themselves effectively, understand their legal rights, and secure career-track jobs.

Funds from this winter campaign will contribute to the recruitment, marketing, and facilitation costs of ReNforce’s Ready, Willing & Employable Project.

Through the Ready, Willing & Employable Project, we offer training, coaching, and material support to help individuals in Georgia gain the necessary knowledge, skills, personal documentation, and transportation to obtain and maintain employment.

Graduates receive an Independent Employment Plan (IEP) tailored to their education and work experiences before, during, and after incarceration. In 2022, 40% of our graduates secured career-track jobs after completing the program.

More About Us

In 2020, Charlotte Garnes established ReNforce in Savannah, Georgia, driven by her own experiences with workplace discrimination. Ms. Garnes, a certified professional in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion from the University of South Florida, faced job loss despite her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees after her employer discovered her conviction history. This experience sparked her personal mission to create a nonprofit that addresses employment barriers related to the criminal legal system for both organizations and individuals. As a result, ReNforce quickly grew to serve the communities of Savannah and Augusta.
