Juniper came to us from a nearby town along with Tahoe, due to a shared veterinarian. Her previous owner had lost several alpacas to pokeberry poisoning, leaving only three remaining. Upon arrival, Juniper and Tahoe needed isolation and medication to address their high parasite loads.
Alpacas communicate with their young through humming, a soothing sound that fosters bonding. Juniper often hummed with her daughter Mint, who sadly passed away in 2023. Juniper embodies the classic alpaca style of the original imports, with a shorter fiber length compared to more modern breeds.
