When the phone rang at UFS, a woman was desperate to find a home for Dunny, a Quarter Horse. After exhausting all humane societies in the Eastern US, she faced a heartbreaking decision. We stepped up for Dunny, providing the extensive veterinary and farrier work needed to help him recover from laminitis and hoof abscesses.
Dunny was purchased as a riding horse by a family who believed he was younger and healthier. Financial strain and his laminitis diagnosis left him with nowhere to go. We welcomed Dunny into our sanctuary, even though our focus is usually smaller equines. Despite his gentle nature and low social status in the paddock, Dunny finds companionship, especially with Micky.
Support Team Dunny Horse and help us continue giving this sweet soul the care and love he deserves!
