Micky is a big (BIG) sweetheart of a horse, beloved for his gentle personality that has touched many lives. Born in 2002 under unusual circumstances, Micky started life on a Premarin farm, rescued from a fate at a livestock auction.
An American Cream Draft Horse cross Appaloosa, Micky sports a striking long cream tail and white dots on his rear. Well-known among local riders, he was cherished at a training barn until it closed in 2018. Through networking efforts, Micky found a loving home with someone familiar.
In October 2021, circumstances led Micky to need a new permanent home due to a sidebone disability that rendered him unrideable. Thankfully, fate brought him to Unity Farm Sanctuary, where he found companionship with Sunny the Pony-Horse after the loss of our Arab mare, Amber.
Micky also deals with uveitis, a condition affecting his pale gray eyes, for which he wears a fly mask year-round—his protective sunglasses!
Support Team Micky Horse and help us continue providing a safe and loving home for this special soul!
