Sunny is a handsome, gentle pony who has become a favorite among volunteers at Unity Farm Sanctuary. He began his life as a workhorse in Pennsylvania but sadly ended up in an abusive situation after being purchased at a livestock auction. Thankfully, a compassionate woman rescued him, providing a loving and stable home where he thrived, especially enjoying beginner lessons with little kids.

In his 20s, Sunny developed a navicular bone cyst in a front hoof, making it uncomfortable to walk and bear a rider. Special shoes, adjusted every six weeks, keep him comfortable. Realizing Sunny needed a permanent home where his special needs would be met, his owner reached out to UFS. We welcomed Sunny with open arms, ensuring his ongoing comfort and care.
