Sweetie, a Welsh pony, retired at the age of 20 from a local lesson barn where she had a reputation for being wily and somewhat uncooperative. Despite her quirks, she provided valuable lessons to countless riders, often surprising them with sudden stops in the ring.
Diagnosed with Cushings Disease, which involves a benign tumor on the pituitary gland, Sweetie's symptoms are managed effectively with medication called Prascend/Pergolide. She found sanctuary at Unity Farm Sanctuary in December 2016, shortly after our inception.
In retirement, Sweetie enjoys a peaceful and contented life, where she is cherished for her years of service and her gentle spirit.
Support Team Sweetie Pony and help us continue providing a loving retirement for this special Welsh pony at Unity Farm Sanctuary!
