Every post, document review, public records request, meeting summary, and educational explanation takes time, research, and sustained effort.
This fund supports the ongoing education and research program that allows CFBB to:

• Investigate land-use decisions
• Analyze public records and approvals
• Translate technical planning issues into plain language
• Provide consistent public updates and documentation
• Maintain transparency and public awareness
These donations help cover operating costs and program labor necessary to keep this work active and consistent.
Funds are used only for nonprofit purposes, in compliance with IRS regulations, and are separate from restricted land-acquisition or campaign-specific donations.

Citizens for Better Brunswick began as a grassroots response to rapid changes reshaping our county. What started as residents asking questions and sharing research grew into a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that growth decisions are transparent, informed, and grounded in the long-term well-being of the community.

We bring together residents, subject-matter experts, and civic leaders who care deeply about Brunswick County’s land, water, and way of life. Our role is to help communities understand what is happening, why it matters, and how decisions made today affect future generations.

Our work is guided by three core principles:

Accountability — Promoting transparency and public trust in local decision-making so policies reflect the public interest and long-term responsibility.

Environmental Stewardship — Supporting the protection of waterways, wetlands, farmland, and natural systems that safeguard public health, safety, and resilience.

Community Integrity — Upholding the character, affordability, and livability of Brunswick County for both current residents and those yet to come.

Through education, public engagement, and collaboration, Citizens for Better Brunswick helps ensure that residents have meaningful access to information and a seat at the table in decisions that shape their communities.
