Honoring Rhodes's Memory • August 25, 2025

Our entire family was so incredibly excited for the life we were beginning with our sweet son, Rhodes, and his big sisters, Raegan and Riley, could not wait to welcome him. At 38 weeks, we never imagined that everything could change so suddenly. To our absolute devastation, we learned that our precious boy had passed away due to his umbilical cord tying into a true knot.

Delivering our son meant we finally got to meet and hold him, but not in the way we had ever dreamed. Losing Rhodes a year ago changed our lives forever. It hit all of us incredibly hard, especially as we navigated this heartbreak alongside Raegan and Riley, who were just 8 and 6 years old at the time.

We are deeply grateful for the Sophia Ann Charity, where our group grief therapy sessions were held. Having a safe, compassionate space—and walking through this unimaginable loss alongside other parents who truly understand—has been incredibly comforting and instrumental in our family's emotional recovery.
