Tucked away in the countryside near Napoleon, Ohio is a place that turns challenges into victories, despair into happiness, and disability to ability. This place is Lily Creek Farms Therapeutic Riding Center. The Center is a place where individuals are empowered to heal through the holistic power of horses and farm tranquility. Lily Creek Farms helps make the healing goals a reality weekly for over 70 children and adults who struggle in some way. Aidan’s Mom, a member of the Lily Creek family for over four years gives a personal glimpse at the Center’s mission in action:

Aiden has multiple diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, mixed receptive-expressive language disorder, sensory integration disorder and fluency disorder. He struggles with self esteem and confidence but riding has helped him overcome those challenges. After his session he’s more calm and relaxed and it helps reduce his anxiety.

Aiden enjoys spending time with the horses - he loves riding, especially trotting! He also likes helping out at the farm. He has gained a connection with the volunteers and horses. Aiden’s Sessions give him something to look forward to every week. He always talks about his lessons on the way home. I love seeing his smile and the excitement on his face after doing something new or something he didn’t think he could do. I also love watching his skills and confidence grow. - Aidens Mom

Aiden is one of many individuals helped by Lily Creek Farms’ mission to heal mind, body, and spirit through equine assisted and other farm related activities.

It costs approximately $210 per lesson to provide therapeutic riding services. Since the founding of Lily Creek Farms, clients have been asked to pay less than 20% of our costs. As the demand for therapeutic riding services grows, our fee structure is no longer financially sustainable. And, our current fees are affordable for only a portion of our clients.

Those unable to afford lessons are faced with discontinuing sessions and are placed on our growing ridership wait-list until funding is available. With your support of our Ridership Fund, the Center can provide more services to those who need them, regardless of their ability to pay.

I invite you to consider joining a community of individuals who help support the Lily Creek Farms family of clients to find healing of mind, body and spirit. I’d love for you to tour the Center, meet our horse and human staff and learn more about the Ridership Program. To schedule a tour or discuss in person, please call or email me.
