“Robbing North Omaha Again???” Or, “How to Put Federal Recovery Funds in the Right Local Hands,” is taking place Thursday October 28, from 6-7:30 p.m. via Zoom. It is free and open to the public.

A conversation with Senator Terrell McKinney, Senator Justin Wayne, and Councilwoman Juanita Johnson. This dialog will focus on the American Rescue Plan in North Omaha. Lots of time for Q&A.

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provides federal funding to support communities and businesses to restore resources lost, and help repair other damages, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

But how that money will be distributed, and who it will go to, is a matter of debate. The usual suspects? Will North Omaha be left holding an empty bag again?
