Rosa has already beaten the odds once.

NCHS saved Rosa from the euthanasia list, and now she has a real chance at the life she deserves. But Rosa’s journey is not over yet. Before she can find the right forever home, she needs training to help her learn the skills it takes to live successfully in a home environment.

Rosa is full of life. She is exuberant, playful, smart, and incredibly food motivated. She loves tug of war, crinkly stuffies, and staying on the move. She is the kind of dog who wakes up excited for life every single day. That big personality is part of what makes her so special, but it also means she needs structure, guidance, and an outlet for all that energy.

Right now, Rosa has very few of the skills needed to settle into home life. She needs help learning manners, leash skills, boundaries, and how to channel her excitement in positive ways. She will thrive with training, consistency, and a purpose. In fact, Rosa is so smart and athletic that she could truly excel with activities like agility or other enrichment work.

Rosa is not a beginner dog. She will need an experienced adopter who understands her breed and can continue building on the foundation that professional training will provide.
