Help Us Honor Our Blessed Mother!

As pilgrims reach the halfway point for mass on Day 1, they are given a rose to place at the Blessed Mother’s feet. At this point during the pilgrimage, the walk is testing the physical limits of pilgrims and, similar to when our daily crosses become almost too much, Our Lady comes to our aide in a simple yet beautiful respite.

As the pilgrim numbers grow each year, so do the number of roses laid before her! This is a meaningful ritual for the pilgrims, and shows are loving adoration our our Heavenly Mother - please consider contributing to our Pilgrims Rose Fund this year to help us be able to provide each pilgrim a rose! "When I was a child, I loved to hear my mother repeat a little nursery rhyme: 'No Saturday without sunshine.' Such a thought might seem strange to specialists in meteorology, strange to those who try to predict the weather. Not so for those who live a close heart-to-heart relationship with Mary, on a Saturday dedicated to her. Mary is the sunshine of our lives. And why is that? Because her fiat teaches us to say 'Yes' to God, to say 'Yes' to God's plans"

- Excerpt from 2024 homily at the closing Pontifical High Mass for the Three Hearts Pilgrimages given by the Right Reverend Father Dom Jean Pateau, Abbot of Notre-Dame de Fontgombault.
